Our food and a little bit about us

Suppliers

    We have a wealth of local suppiers being located in the Wiltshire area,

    Our Beef coming from Hurst Farm, Keevil and Pork from Westend Farm, Bishops Canning .

    Our Sausages are made just for us by local farmer Mr Simon Candy.

    Our fish is delivered fresh to our door tuesday to saturday coming from the day boats going to Lyme Bay and Lyme Regis

    Our Vegetables come to us via Total Produce who pick the best producers in and around Bristol

    Many of the villagers of Holt love to go out shooting, we have pheasant, Mallard, Rabbit and Venison delivered in return for Beer.

Sundays

    Sundays are generally our busiest day and it is advisable to book.

    Not only do we offer spectacular roast dinners we offer our full menu also,

    the mixed roast is very popular and the giant yorkies go down a treat.

Room available to hire

We have a room upstairs which is available mid week for meetings, it is a great space and can hold up to 32 people.

Dinner parties and small gatherings are also incredibly popular in this space any day of the week. It is free to hire, please get in touch for details

Our Wine

We pride ourselves in our extensive wine list, most of which we offer by the glass. We use a local company, Bath based called Enotria who help us put together this fabulous list.

We change the wine list at least 3 times a year, this helps up keep up with new vinyards opening and great vintages popping up!

The team obviously have the very hard job of tasting and selecting new wines which make an appearance on our list.

Unfortunately you cannot buy our wines in the supermarkets, we have made this decision because we thought you deserved something 'special' when coming for lunch or dinner

You can however purchase the majority of them in Great Western Wine in Bath.

However please call them to check, as they do not always stock everything.

We love you to try before you by, so if in a muddle as to which wine to go for, please just ask for a taster.
